Terrors in a women's mind
Doesn't really matter how old we grow but still the terror of the silent road haunts us.
I'm sharing this incident that happened few days back with me.
It was a bright sunny day in December afternoon, I was coming back from my exam ...
The time was around 1.40 pm and i was travelling by an auto ..
So we were about to enter into an underpass which was all dark and instantly my mind lights went on - to be extra cautious- since it was super duper dark.
Suddenly the auto slowed down and all I could think of is what if this happens what if that happens.
I saw car parked at a good distance and the light is blinking so again a lot of things started coming and crossing through my mind what is this what if that.
Finally I was relieved when I saw a girl puking out of the car and at the same time light breaking in in the underpass as we were coming out of it towards the another side.
So that moment I realised that our own fear haunts us.
The numerous stories that we hear about the incidents happening throughout the world and specially near us, in our own city does haunt us.
Here the Auto driver definitely was not wrong but he was perceived wrong due to chain of incident , and it made me feel insecure with him suddenly at that point of time.
And that's when I realise that even in the broad daylight if I couldn't feel safe then certainly when someone says that night travels should be avoided and still people have to do it for the work of family it pains me that what they go through throughout their journey.
